I will love you more

Lebanese poetess Madonna Asker

الشاعرة اللبنانية مادونا عسكر

Translated into English by Mohammad Yousef

He said: O my lovely star

What shall we become after overwhelming years of love?

I said: I  know not ,

But I will love you more

Poetry shall melt down

Colours shall wash away

Meanings shall enlarge up, moonlit shall fade away

At that time , my love shall have grown up more

And I will love you more

Poetry shall melt down

Colours shall wash away

Meanings shall enlarge up, moonlight shall fade away

At that time , my love shall have grown up more

And I will love you more

Birds shall migrate away

Spring shall stand still and move to leaf shadowy banks

Is it possible that after your eyes that a spring will flower, or shades that omen trees?

All have the right to reach ends and I have the right to love you more….

The sea has got two arms that draw up the twilight lines

Meadows have eyes that peer the last showing off ear..

I have two arms that stretch the expansion of Universe

And two eyes that investigate beyond heavens

And I will love you more

Prophets have time that starts and ends

Faith shall pray at the day of judgment

Hope shall serenade the stillness of end

I have a love from your heart that feeds upon infatuation;

Pouring yarning you are its promise and intimate discourse

Moon will grow larger

Sun shall grow older , air shall fade down

Time shall vanish, echo shall weep

And I..who is haunting the endosperm of your lovely heart..

Shall grow bigger and love you more.
